Beginning Days
1978
King's Homestead began with picnic tables displayed in the front yard. Les worked his regular job building sheds while his mom and sister helped with sales during the day.
What started close to home would grow into a family business built around craftsmanship, hospitality, and everyday connection.
Growing from home
1980's
Through the 1980s, King's Homestead continued to grow from the family home. The business expanded slowly and steadily, shaped by hard work, family involvement, and a desire to offer well-made pieces for real homes.
From the beginning, King's Homestead was about more than furniture. It was about helping people create spaces for welcome, connection, and everyday life.
A New Shop
1990's
In the early 1990s, a new shop building created much-needed space for the workshop and warehouse.
The business remained rooted beside the family home, keeping the work personal, practical, and close to where the story began.
A fresh chapter
2017
In 2017, King's Homestead passed to the next generation. Under Anita’s leadership, the store entered a fresh chapter, bringing renewed vision while honoring the family legacy that shaped it. Marked by Anita’s generosity and hospitality, King's Homestead continues to be a place of thoughtful spaces, lasting craftsmanship, and meaningful connection.
